since losing my job ive found creative ways to stay fed properly.pasta roni 10 for $10, instant stuffing as a meal (cant beat $1.19 for a full tummy) ive been clipping coupons like crazy for almost everything, i have about 30 coupons for free coffees from 7/11 i got from the news papers, and the clearance section at fresh and easy. i got 4 meals and a little cake today there for $5.32. if you havent seen the clearance section at fresh and easy i suggest you check it out. its all the stuff thats expiring that day, so my stuff says it expired the 24th but im sure i'll eat it in the next day or 2 so im sure i'll be fine.

anyone else have any suggestions for when times are tough?

The offer still stands for you to come and live under my stairs like Harry potter, but it only stands if you can sew.... Haha.

Oh man, my comments must look so mean... I swear I'm not a asshole people!

Rice. You can do all kinds of stuff with rice to make it tollerable as every meal. Butter, seasoning..etc.

Good on you!

here are a few suggestions.
Frozen vegetables, RICE.
pesto! Sometimes it's a nice change of pace when you're always eating pasta with red sauce.

Malt-O-Meal cereal (the generic stuff)
Sells huge packs of cereal in a bag for around 2 to 3 bucks

ALSO,
I highly suggest going to the 99cents only store!
The one on Maryland & Flamingo can be a little scary. (But you are a guy so I wouldn't worry! I would get cat called in the store and get freaked out).

There's also a nice one on Spring Mt. & Desert Inn near the Walmart.
It's a full on grocery store. It's got condiments, cereal, salad mixes, tortillas, vegetables and frozen foods in there, everything ONE DOLLAR! I survived off of that place when I lived alone.

Best of luck!

omg the 99 cent store! i keep forgetting to go there. i think the one closest to me (near the galleria mall) has a full grocery store section with produce and stuff but i cant remember, i think im going to have to go investigate. and pesto would definitely be a good investment for me. do they sell it in jars like red sauce? or would i have to make it? i dont think ive ever seen it in a store.

Hey! You might have to do some searching around the pasta sauce section. I know there's some made by Classico which is about 3 something! But a grocery store might sell it in the dairy section.

Dollar stores also have loaves of bread and bagels. It's great stuff. =) I don't think I could ever go back to paying full price for anything.
